Portfolio: Hannah {Senior Portrait Photography}

I had the honor of photographing Hannah.  It was fun to spend the afternoon together and it was a huge compliment to get to work with her after working with her sister Grace!  We had fun!  Here are a few of my favorites from our session (please forgive the sideways images!)…

Hannah wanted to include Lady in a few of her photos. Adorableness ensued.

Thanks, Hannah!  Like what you see? Book a session with me!

Photos that Inspire

I’ve always had an interest in photography.  Even when I was younger, with my disposable Kodak cameras taking pictures of inanimate objects and nature, my parents scolded me for wasting film on photos without people in them.  In high school, I took Photography I & II and learned a lot through the black and white film process.  I have a sweet spot in my heart for black and white photography.  We studied photographers and photos and these are 3 of my favorite photos that still stick with me today:

This article about the girl in the photo is fascinating.

“A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.” –Diane Arbus

I love that quote.

Who are some of your favorite photographers?  What are some of your favorite images?  Do you prefer color or black and white?

{also, check out this giveaway.  My fingers are crossed!  I hope I win!}
