Portfolio :: Kim & The Crew :: Part Four :: {Family Portraits}

Living out in the middle of nowhere can sometimes be a little frustrating.  But easily the majority of the time I love it out here.  Except when I’m trying to upload photos to my blog and our s-l-o-w internet connection just isn’t having it.  It took much longer than it should have to upload the last several posts.  Still in that same boat, but had to update!  Below are the final set of sneak peeks from the beautiful autumn afternoon spent with Kim and her family.  Now that it’s so cold, it’s kind of nice to reminisce about warmer days…

Portfolio :: Kim & The Crew :: Part One :: {Family Portraits}

Kim asked me to come out for an afternoon filled with family portraits.  Fall in the Midwest can be so unpredictable and I’ve been crossing my fingers for the last few weeks that the weather would cooperate!  We got a VERY sunny afternoon with weather in the mid-50’s.  So thankful!  And I’m really happy with the warm glow the sun provided in the photos.

Side note: As I go through my final sort of the photos and type out this post, Sunday Night Football is on and I am so annoyed by that song. haha you know the song, right?  “Waitin All Day for Sunday Night!” ugh.  I love a good game of football, but that song can go.

Anyway, here are some of my favorite images from the larger group photos we took.  I’m splitting this into at least 3 posts, I think., because I’m running into my usual problem of having a hard time narrowing down my favorites to just a handful.  So watch out for a few more posts in the coming weeks!

Portfolio :: Portrait Photography :: A Girl & Her Horse

You may recall the sneak peeks I shared from Danelle’s Senior Portraits (1, 2, 3, & 4).  This post shares some beautiful photos we captured of her and her horse.  She wanted these portraits for her own memories, but did not plan to use them as her senior photos.  I love capturing people with their pets–they are family too!  I also included one more gem with her truck–this is her dream truck and they’ve had multiple mechanics look at it, they’ve replaced parts… they can’t get it to run!  Someday!  So we had to get a photo with the hood up.

Portfolio :: Senior Portraits :: Danelle :: Part One

Danelle saw my photos and heard about me through word of mouth, which, IMHO is the best advertising and the greatest compliment you can get!  Her family has a beautiful farm and we had a blast roaming around the fields taking her photos.  I forgot my shoes, so I completed the whole session in my flip flops and went home with a full heart and dirty feet.  I am so excited to share some sneak peeks with you from this session.  As always, I am having a really hard time narrowing this down to just a few, so forgive me and indulge me.  This is part one of a four part series…

La Belle Estelle Photography-83It was evident in our time together that Danelle has a big heart and big dreams.  I am so excited for her future and it was so fun to get to know her in between shots.

Portfolio :: Jenny {Portrait Photography}

Jenny is a beam of sunshine who I have the privilege of working with at my day job.  She helps our members prepare for retirement, save for college, and manage their investments.  She wanted unique portraits done for some marketing materials. Here we go…
